How to measure for your tarp:
1) Measure the width of the trailer and write it down.
2) Measure how far over the sides you want the tarp to hang (called the drop) and double it. For example if you want a 1' drop, add 2', 1' for each side.
1) Measure the length of the trailer and write it down.
2) Measure how far over the front and rear you want the tarp to hang. (Front and back drop must equal side drop)
Tarp = (Width + Side Drop + Side Drop) x (length + Front Drop + Back Drop)
For and example...
I have trailer that is 7' wide and 12' long and I want a 1' drop all the way around. The tarp size that I need will be 9' x 14'.
If you're ordering a Boxed End tarp:
Boxed End Tarps are great for just throwing over you're load and not worrying about tying down the end that is boxed. When you order a Boxed End Tarp, we need to know the width and length of the bed / trailer, in addition to the size of the tarp, so we can make sure the tarp will fit. We'll add extra width and length to compensate for shrinkage.
With vinyl tarps we do not recommend boxing the rear of the tarp, they will rip because the wind has no where to go.
